Winter Revival Retreat
8-day, 7-night Retreat
1st December – 8th December 2025
We are excited to announce our latest offering: the Winter Revival Signature retreat – a transformative 8-day wellness programme hosted by the venerable Buddhist Monk Nimal, in collaboration with our yoga teacher. As the festive season approaches, many of us find ourselves holding our breath in anticipation of the new year. Amidst this end-of-year rush, we invite you to join our Winter Revival Signature Retreat – an opportunity to pause, exhale and let go of all that no longer serves you. Over these 8 days, you will embark on a spirited journey to heal and re-energise, with a blend of unique offerings including daily yoga and meditation sessions, Buddhist teachings, Ayurvedic treatments and powerful ceremonies.
Thoughtfully curated for a collective experience, we ask that all guests stay for the full length of the programme. We also recommend arriving a day early if possible.

Designed and built with sensitivity to the natural surroundings, the cabanas are reached by a raised wooden walkway that offers glimpses of wildlife among the trees. Once you step in, the spacious rooms embrace a natural and minimal design that celebrates the skilful craftsmanship of local artisans.
The cabanas offer the luxury of being surrounded by nature, with framed views of a tropical forest from a comfortable and private space of your own.
Luxury Beach Cabanas
Our Luxury Cabanas are the ultimate tier of Sanctuary accommodation, located a 100-metre walk from the beach. Designed by world-renowned architects, the rooms provide ample space to refresh yourself after a day of healing and exploration, with elegant arched ceilings inspired by nature.
From the private balcony surrounded by lush greenery, the view of topaz waters dances through the coconut palm trees, while the ocean hum induces deep relaxation.
Testimonials
The therapists were all highly skilled. The male therapists were great for a stronger, more structural approach, while the female therapists offered a gentle, nurturing touch that felt deeply supportive.
The schedule was thoughtfully curated — from daily yoga and meditation to private sessions with the resident Monk, cacao and breathwork ceremonies, special meals, cooking demos, and Ayurveda classes. That said, there was absolutely no pressure to attend everything, which allowed for plenty of spaciousness to rest and move at your own pace.
The setting itself is pure magic: wild jungle on one side, pristine ocean on the other, and monkeys swinging through the trees in between.
Sen is the kind of place that’s perfect for anyone moving through a transition. For me, it reset my nervous system after a particularly stressful six months, and helped me anchor into new habits for the next chapter. I also left looking (and feeling) ten years younger.
Would — and will — absolutely return!
The food was sensational, the massages and treatments were world class (request face/head massage from rasanga) and the nature is surreal - you are in a jungle surrounded by monkeys and steps from the most pristine beautiful beach, to yourself.
My recommendation for the panchakarma would be to come prepared with things you want to work on - it was more flexible than I thought, and the team/doctors looking after you are incredibly accomodating, so you can really mould your experience if you wish (ie silent days, juice fast, day trips, special treatments).
They’ve also created a really nice community vibe - so you’re meeting/dining always with a great/interesting crew of humans.
We were even lucky enough to catch a session with the founder Sam (magician) and a cacao ceremony
Thanks especially madu, yasmin, dr chamodi and the whole staff crew for always being so friendly/helpful.
The staff in all areas of the business were fantastic.
Lovely food, 3 meals a day with with morning and evening yoga sessions, daily treatments, massages and organised day trips completed a really comprehensive package. The shared environment is tastefully decorated enabling a very relaxed space to relax, snooze or chat with other guests.
My stay here has been delightful and I would highly recommend Sen Wellness Sancturay to anyone wishing to take a healthy break in Sri Lanka.

The location is just perfect - right next to a quiet beach.
The staff helped us arrange safaris and day trips to mirisa beach, and tangelle town.
The staff of the hotel is wonderful, they make you feel welcomed from the moment you put your foot on the ground when they ask to leave your shoes at the entrance of the Sanctuary and you do not need it anymore for the rest of the stay inside the hotel.
The women doing the massages are without any doubt the best part of the staff in this place, the doctors are very nice also but they might be slightly unexperienced at times.
Antonio the manager is friendly although sometimes a bit inefficient.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the food is very good.
Sam the owner of the place knows a lot about his work and practices although I find he runs the place with a focus on making business, which in a way makes sense but sometimes made me feel uncomfortable. For example if you want an appointment with him, or even a short talk, you will be charged extra even though you have already paid a lot of money to stay there.
Still I would go back as the place is wonderful.
The traditional treatments were excellent, offering a deep sense of rejuvenation. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the people. From Tharu, the kind and reliable driver, to the wonderful wellness managers, Candice and Tania, and the inspiring yoga teacher, Kamila—every member of the team contributed to a warm and welcoming experience. Their care and dedication made all the difference.
Just a few constructive comments—it would be great to have new lily pads and bolster cushions, as the current ones were not in the best condition. Also, more yoga blocks would be helpful, as there weren’t always enough for everyone.
Overall, I had an amazing time, and if you’re looking for a place to unwind, heal, and be surrounded by positive energy, I highly recommend Sen Wellness Sanctuary!
