We wanted to reassure our guests and anyone who would like to come to the Sanctuary with regards to the current political and economical unrest in Sri Lanka.
At the Sanctuary, we have been operating a normal service, largely unaffected by any protests. Unrests have been largely concentrated around the capital city of Colombo. The Sanctuary however is located in the middle of a nature reserve far away from any public gatherings. Our guests are able to visit local tourist sites such as a nearby rock temple and the local market as usual.
We arrange a for your airport pickup and transfer so every guest will have a smooth transition from the airport without any concerns.
As a registered Level 1 Accommodation with the Sri Lankan Tourists Board, we have access to fuel and food supplies. We also have our own generator at the Sanctuary which allows us to easily bridge any power cuts.
A new government has now been put in place and we expect the situation to slowly return to normal over the coming weeks. Please feel free to contact us directly with any other questions or concerns.
